This year has had its fair share of severe weather in Illinois, Coal City got struck by an EF-3 tornado. On November 17, 2013 they were hit with an EF-2 tornado as well, which is the same storm that hit Washington, Illinois with an EF-4.
I've always had a fascination with severe weather and I've found a new outlet for it with my friend Brian Davidson who is a storm chaser and streams video with SevereStudios.com. I've always had a working knowledge of weather but this year and this year I've definitely gained a lot more. I always keep forgetting to get formally get spotter trained so next year I'll make sure I do that.

I usually listen to news and weather forecast on the television, everyday, so whenever rain and thunderstorm is predicted I become mentally prepared to move into safe shelters along with my family, because I don’t want my children to get affected by the acute weather conditions.
